Lucid artist Nick Robson provides a wicked set… also check out his great release ‘Sheltered’ EP on Lucidflow!

how does a creative day look/feel like for you?

Peaceful and relaxed. Meditation and time in nature seem to help ‘recharge’ creativity, but in most cases in comes spontaneously.

how do you support yourself in being creative?

Doing the above and also not trying to force anything, just letting idea’s come and being experimental with no expectation.

how do you hinder yourself from being creative?

A lot of the time hearing what music is popular/released within the underground scene. Hearing people replicate each other in a lot of cases obvious ways is depressing and does a good job of killing my drive. It is the absolute opposite of originality and yet people place value in it, probably a lot of the time because it’s the only thing labels will sign. I think a lot of music can influence and whether conscious or unconsciously can create expectation in what you yourself think you will come up with, and so I think it’s best to have a blank canvas so to speak, upon which your original ideas can manifest without influence.

how did you come across Lucidflow?

Browsing beatport (the irony!) It was a Nadja Lind album I think and/or a compilation and honestly I was a bit blown away by the intricacy of the productions. The ‘sound’ in general was unique also and made them stand out.

tell us one of your greatest wishes:

For everyone to wake up to the control system they live in and in most cases feed and accept.

anything else you would spread to the Lucid world?

Stop basing your decisions on what people do around you. Question what you are told is factual or best for you and use your own brain/heart. Be relaxed and lighthearted at all times and pay attention to your feelings.
